The collar of Tichka (Tizi Tichka), at 2,260 m of altitude, is located in the middle of the mountains of the Atlas. This stripped collar, often swept by strong winds, is the road passage highest of Morocco, built by the Foreign legion in the years 1920.

EtymologyEtymology

Tizi Tichka does not mean “collar of the pastures” in Berber language.

The collar offers a splendid panorama on the high peaks of the djebel Tistouit, on the left, and of the djebel Bou Ouriou, on the line.
