Zaton is on a pretty bay surrounded of the covered high mountains of pines of the Dalmatian back-country. Veliki and Mali Zaton are the privileged vacation resort of the inhabitants of Dubrovnik.
One finds there many villas of seaside built by the large families of the area, which made a fortune in the production of salt.
Apart from the beaches of Zaton, the village of Podbrežje, to 4.5 km, is one strolls recommended. One can visit the cave of Mociljska there decorated with stalactites and stalagmites.
